Hotel- Budget range $60 a night. They have bungalow's toward the waterfront, no beach, they have ironshore. The bungalow's are basic, not fancy, but clean and comfortable, have a front porch with hammock. They also have a hotel with 20 rooms or so, they are a little nicer, still basic but with nice bathroom, TV. All rooms have A/C. Good location, about a 10 minute walk from the main turnabout in Westend. No restraunt on site, but there is one next door at Lands End.
Dive Shop- 30$ per dive if you buy a package of >10. All gear provided, they use standard rental gear, not new, not too old, I never saw anyone have any problems with the gear. Boats are nice, mostly small groups of 4-6 per boat. Divemasters are pretty good about giving as much or as little help/supervision as you require. Good at leading/finding and pointing out stuff.
The whole operation is very affordable, but service oriented. It is owned/operated by an extended family who is very friendly and accomidating. So if you are on a budget, but want a good experience they are ideal.
As for the diving, water temp was 80-81. Weather was rainy about 4 of the 7 days, with some slightly stormy seas. Only one dive was cancelled. Visibility was 50-100 ft on good days, on the stormy days closer to 40 feet. There are multiple dive sites within 2-15 minute boat ride from Seagrape.
Overall very good trip, will go again next year.
