I will be traveling to Senegal in late October/November and I wanted to see if anyone had any experience in that region of the world.

My ex GF went there a few years ago. She's not a diver, but felt the beaches weren't good dive sites due to swell and being largely sandy bottoms.

I talked to a nondiving friend that just got back from Senegal. He travelled the whole coast and said the swell was minimal and the water blue. It is the dry season now, I imagine that wet season vis is poor. He did say there was lots of sand.
