it is much like kegs of beer. For instance, you have kegs, half barrels, and quarter barrels. keg-31gal, half-15.5 gal, and quarter-7.75 gal.

I imagine that these are standard sizes, then there is alway's the "pony" keg. Which is usually only a couple of gallons (if it is even 2)

Pony would then refer to smaller than standard, much like a 30, or 40 cu.ft spare/deco bottle.
