If you want shark fin soup, try Honolulu. I always cause a scene when I see it on the menu at the restaurant I am at and generally discuss the issue with the waiter before never going back. It should be outlawed. The trivial luxury of this subcultural food item is doing enormous harm. I just wish we could do something about the Asian market for it.

I just received and email from the manager. Here it is....

Dear Mr. Wheeler,

Thank you for immediately bringing this to our attention. We share your concerns and have reacted by taking shark's fin soup off our web site and menu.

Your patronage and quick action made us better. How may I personally be of service to you in the future? Please let me know when the occasion arises.

With warmest aloha,

Thomas Pauly

Great Job Drew!!!

You really do lead by example; wish you could find the funding for a sidekick to your super hero ScubaDrew! :)

Great work Drew! What is really needed to slow the sales of shark fin soup is a little education. A lot of people I know couldn't care less about sharks. When I tell them that the addition of shark fin to the soup adds nothing to the taste and only changes the soup's texture attitudes start to change.
