The second annual Sharkfest hosted by Olympus Dive Center in Morehead City, North Carolina, is just a few months away (August 5-7). So, if you have a short film about shark diving, shark conservation or virtually anything else to do with sharks, now is the time to get in touch.
Sharkfest is part shark diving weekend, part film festival and part shark celebration where we (shark divers) have a chance to get together and talk about our encounters and the sport of shark diving in general.
If you can't make it out on the dives but you're in or around Morehead City NC on the first weekend of August, join us for the film screenings on Saturday night. Its not exactly Sundance but this is your chance to kick back with some likeminded divers and see some sharks up close on the (not particularly) big screen.
The line up so far includes a new film by celebrated film maker Joe Romeiro (333 Productions), a fascinating short film by Morne Hardenberg - her expose of South Africa's amazing shark diversity, a dynamic compilation of shark diving moments from film maker Eli Martinez and documentaries by Seventh Generation on shark conservation in Hawaii.
But, dont be intimidated! Sharkfest welcomes contributions from professional film makers and amateur videographers alike. If you have a short video ranging from approximately 5-20 minutes in length, please send it our way.

Happy shark diving!
