Did two dives on inner Fenwick Shoals yesterday.
Temp: 59F
Vis: 3'-8'
Currents: Moderately strong surge. Current was average.

Tried to spearfish, but did not have much success. The combination of very poor vis and strong surge made it very difficult. The shoals are not known for good vis but another ten feet would have been great. Good to get wet though. Overall it was pretty boring.

That's pretty much the norm for the Shoals, in my experience. Did you dive wet or dry? Just curious, Im scouting out wetsuits (cant afford dry right now), and if you dove wet I was wondering how you handled the bottom temps. Thanks.

I was diving dry. However, the DM and a few other divers were diving wet. No one mentioned being cold. DM was wearing the Mares ISOtherm Semi-Dry and the others were wearing 7mm's.
