If you're going to shoredive, then Coki Beach is an easy entry and pretty shallow. Just don't go past the Coral World outfall pipes as the current can pick up there in the afternoon - it was so swift we wound up getting out, climbing up the cliff and catching a ride back. Later the dive operator said he forgot to mention it. (thanks...)

Coki Beach is about a 1/2 hr. van ride each way from the cruise port. And they have a pretty small boat.

So if you decide to boat dive instead, contact Admiralty Dive or Blue Island Divers as they're waterfront in Charlotte Amalie and will pick you up off the WICO dock. If you dock at Crown Bay Marina, BI Divers is right there.

The dives sites they go to are close also, several are just outside the harbor entrance so they'll be back in time to look around Charlotte Amalie/Havensite Mall before sailing that afternoon.

There's not much to see at Coki Beach except the beach and the trashy restaurants behind it, it's not Newport Beach...LOL The only shopping/restaurants nearby are 10min. away in Red Hook. And there's not much there. If you do go, Molly Malone's is great for lunch - real Irish bar on a Caribbean Island...lol.

My personal opinion - we wasted two dives at Coki Beach, the reef is sparse, and the fish congregate around the shallow snorkel/snuba area which isn't the best dive area. The only advantage it has is that it's a simple sand beach entry as any signs of coral start in about 15-20'. And for a slice of local color the beach can't be beat. The locals were very friendly.
