Woah dude! Chill!

That's an awful lot of aggression you are showing for, quite frankly, relatively very little provocation.

Scubaboard is here for our enjoyment, not to ratchet up our blood pressure. Think of hanging weightless surrounded by fish, sharks or whales. Peace. Relaxation. Bliss.

*cough*

Anyway, glad you got the answer to your question but I'm a little confused as to why, if you already knew how to calculate it, you didn't do it yourself? I mean, it takes more vastly effort and time to post on Scubaboard than a 20 second (if that) calculation.

Ok, again I appreciate most of the answers I recieved to this question. I got the answer in the 1st 3 comments so I can't believe how long this keeps going. I even like the humorous answers but I have to respond to a couple morons. 1st the socialist from London that dosen't understand the question. Yes you dive with the air you have and plan accordingly. You may be satisfied with what you get and have learned not to question government or authority but but in the US some of tend to question the master plan. I should have done the math myself instead of being lazy and asking the board.
2nd to Wookie. Did you have a hard day on the Spree and were kicking back with your friend Jack D. I didn't ask how I could overcome a short fill or if going to the gym would help. I ask how the cubic feet was affected by short psi. Now I been diving long enough so 8 or 10cf short dosen't affect my NDL. Now maybe,(being the Captin) of the Spree caused you to be sensative when questioned about air fills, bad food or poor accomadations. Either you were drunk or I touched a nerve with the post. I must admit I have looked at your web site thinking about a trip someday. However by your choice of words I may go to Ft. Meyers Fl. for that trip. My car tires can get along 5lb short of air and my oil could be a qt. short with no problem either. I prefer to have a full tank of air when I pay for the air and the charter. 5 min extra time on the rope may reveal a nice picture opportunity. In closing,(I won't follow this thread any more), everyone likes a little ass but no body likes a smart ass, except maybe another smart ass. Being a boat captin you should have more class. The owner of the Spree probably would appreciate more class.

BOLD is mine
Yep, I think you're right.

Check your air before you leave harbour. If you consistently get short fills, change charter.

Yeah right :)

I was probably drunk. Or drinking. Yes, I had had a hard day, lifted a 530 lb transformer and tweaked my back. Why wouldn't you go with Capt. Rick on the UG, he's a great guy and runs a fine boat. And he's only an hour and a half from you, way easier to get to than me, 6 or more hours away. We don't catch bugs, by the way. We don't hunt or fish at all. No, we won't short fill your tank, and most don't think the food is bad, some prefer more posh accommodations than we provide.

But what is important is to match a boat with a client who wants and understands what is provided. We think (on the Spree) that we take things with a sense of humor, and if offense is meant, you'll know it. We tend not to try to offend anyone, but sometimes the internet isn't as forgiving seeing you can't see facial expressions or body language. But to finish, you wouldn't probably be very happy here, being a little thin skinned, and that means you've come to the right decision. Not all boats and divers are meant for each other. You'll likely be happier elsewhere, and you should be happy, after all, dive trips are expensive, and you should be happy on one.

If you'd like to contact the owner directly, you can e-mail to spree@spreeexpeditions.com, or call me at 281-300-4748. I'll be at my house in Port Charlotte this weekend if you'd like to come by, we'll split a bottle of rum and curse at each other. :D
