shoulder straps on previous generation ranger LTD

I picked up a display ranger LTD, but I would prefer having the larger shoulder strap. Would I purchase the regular ranger shoulder strap since the new LTD looks like it has a new buckling system? If I want the new system, does that mean I need to upgrade the velcro waist strap too? If so where do I purchase that?

Also can anyone elaborate on the other differences between the newer ranger LTD and the older model?
