Smoke smell

Hey so I bought a used BCD and everything seems good
But there is a musty/Smokey smell from it

What is the best way to wash and deodorize it

First thing I would try is a good wetsuit cleaner/deodorizer that you can buy at your LDS. They may even have some sample packs they will give you to try.

Over thinking it. Go dive. Lots of washing action in a dive. A freshwater dive will remove salts from a salt water dive that washing in the house and rinsing with a hose never get. A dive is a really good way to wash it.

If you have issues after diving, then go to the cocktail of chemical cleaners.

the best thing to do is set in next to a wetsuit,

once you get used to the piss smell of the suit, the smokey aroma of the BC will be comforting.
