So how many people you see with their snorkels hooked up on the wrong side before a dive? And....do you ever tell them to correct this?

Which is the correct side? The right or the left side?

If you DO wear one AND your primary regulator hose goes over your RIGHT shoulder ...then your snorkel belongs on the LEFT side.

I find that the best place for my snorkle is left.
Yes, definitely left......In my gear bag.

People tell me all the time, "I can't scuba, because I hate snorkeling; water always chokes me".

I say, me too, scuba does not have much in common with snorkeling. They look at me like I am stupid, try scuba, and love it.

to He** with a snorkel. almost useless, and turns many people off to scuba.

I've been looking for a left-handed snorkel for ages :11: - where can you buy one? I find if I put my right-handed one on the left side of my mask I have to twist the mouthpeice so far to get it into my mouth that it's like breathing through a straw. :shakehead

Hmmm...I keep my "diving" snorkel rolled up in my BC pocket and don't bring it out unless I need to do a surface swim, or if I'm sitting at the line waiting for 50 people to get off the boat (since I'm usually the first one in) It's more fun to look down at where I'm going to be going than watching a whole bunch of badley executed giant strides! haha!

I keep my "snorkelling" snorkel in my gear bag until I go snorkelling, then I put it on the left side of my mask. (out of habit)

When I wear my snorkel, I wear it on the right by choice.

But, here's the better question...

Who cares?

Left is how were forced to learn, when i just snorkel I wear it on my right, when I dive, and only on deep dives I wear it on my left as I was taught. but for most reefs and the like I leave on the boat... (flame away)
