Great pictures, how long were you on the site and what remarks can you give of overall dicing conditions and of course about the travel location.

Socorro Island is part of the Revillagigedo Islands Mexico. Located 250 miles south of the Baja peninsula, they are only accessible via live aboard. Conditions are variable as to surge and current which both exist. Water temperatures were in the 70-75 fehrenheit range. Visibillity in the 40-60 foot range.

Most of the shark photos are from Roca Partida, we spent two days diving this spectacular pinnacle.

Quite a trip and gallery! That sea goddess creature is mind blowing. I tried to find it on google with no luck under that name. Maybe it's a Reticulated Sea Slug?

Thanks for sharing!

We will be there at the end of this month.

If you get a chance to snorkel with the Mantas at Socorros, do it, that was the highlight of the trip for most people on our boat.
Did you SCUBA dive w/ the manta rays? Did you have more fun snorkeling w/ them?

Yes and Yes. The diving with the Mantas is spectacular, but the snorkeling with em is mind blowing!

The Mantas feed at the surface, doing barrel rolls, like a somersault. Snorkeling they would come right at you and roll at the last minute.

Ask the boat crew to take you snorkeling if the situation presents itself.
