Taken in shallow water, Florida Keys. (Jules to be exact). Could not see anything like it in reef creature. I am assuming it is a creature instead of a coral.

I wondered about colonial tunicate of some sort. There are a number of small almost round ones (note background) and some where they group together. They appear hollow if you look in the opening. That there are the small oval shaped members is more obvious in the picture than when viewing on site. But the picture is enlarged a bit if you have a large screen. A "round one" is maybe 0.75 inches across.
