I have a mac I am aware that 1080p60 is not supported by any apple software

I use an app iVI to convert into compatible format, should be m4v or mp4. If you set it to bypass and just repackage it can be very quick. can refer to this guide: Review: video converter iVI (Pro) for iPads / iPhones | Werner Ruotsalainen | iPhone Life

I can also open the Private folder with quicktime and it then opens it to select which video to play. then can convert from there but slower than iVI.

iMovie and the other non linear editors all work with AVCHD but not in the 60 fps format so in theory if you have iMovie or an x264 plugin for QuickTime this Should work however iMovie refuses to import a 60fps footage
Currently I copy the files as is into manually made event folders in mp4 format and all is good
I guess with this utility (there is a free one buy only works up to snow leopard) I could repackage in mp4 and the follow the same workflow

Great, the macor stills are exactly what I like to take with my G11 and am happy to see the RX100 is capable of.

It does not do it out of the box you need a +8 diopter just to capture the same magnification of the G series
Once you have a lens though the quality is impressive

This rx100 is a great camera, but the vignetting on JPG Fine or Standard format is terrible. How can sony release with camera with this kind of flaw. I wish they fix it with the new firmware

Never had any vignetting can you post some examples?
