I was worried about any lubricant ending up in the gauge.
Those are dynamic O-rings so lubricant is necessary but only use tiny amount.
Inside the gauge is no problem but not inside the Bourdon tube.

Good to know.
Maybe that's all it needed.

The O-rings should be shiny (wet) from the lube, but not lumps or raw lube left behind.

The leak at pressure up, just change the spool for the easy fix.

If I use a tea spoon to scoop the silicone and then I use my finger to smear the grease.

...banal retentive sentiments are never flattering...
I use the tip of a tooth pick to smear the lube on the O-ring.
Silicone grease is very difficult to wash away.

A few questions,
I am very confused.

what size of container does your silicone come in, that you need a tea spoon?

Also was this smeared with a finger?
If so, can you explain how to do it?
If not, how was it done?
Please help me understand.
