I heard recently that one of our local beach dives (Redondo beach, SoCal) is a good spot to see squid during night dives. Is there a time of year that is ideal for this (maybe when they are laying eggs?)?

A bit different topic, but has anyone dove during a grunion run? I imagine it would be pretty fun.
