I just saw this on a FB Bonaire forum. Anyone have more info?

OLB wants us (the independant kitesurfers and the schools) to move to another spot because several reasons: ramsar buffer, cargil, fishermen, divers, etc. In the last few years kitesurfing as a sport has grown worlwide, also on Bonaire. We are taking OLB seriously so checked out the 3 proposed sites by OLB (all close to, or on very famous divespots). The only one that really has any potential is between angel city and alice in wonderland. So we are test riding this site this weekend. Without going in detail here there are way more reasons not to move. The most obvious one would be the tranformation of that location would be substantial to make it, at least, as good as atlantis and problems with divers will be much much bigger at that spot (hilma hooker is very close and in the wind direction. BUT we do want to give it a fair try and will present our conclusions to OLB and Stinapa and come up with a realistic plan for the future of kitesurfing on Bonaire.

Thanks for letting us known. This is all the more concerning given that they kite boarders don't 'stay' on just one site. Back in February, they weren't just at Atlantis; boarders ventured considerably north and south of Atlantis. So the idea they'd be 'between' Angel City and Alice in Wonderland is pretty laughable.
