Strobe Arm - YS Mount vs Ball Mount

I am playing with options on lights and one of the lights I have comes with a YS mount and a ball mount. My question is, what is the advantage of using the YS Mount over the ball mount? On the YS I will have to get a YS to Ball arm as the rest of the system is ball mount. Is it similar to using a gimbal where you have limited controlled movement or is it just a different mount and use what you have or are most comfortable with?

I much prefer ball mounts with a YS it is taller usually and you can only rotate in a single plane easily.
