Strobes for the C-770

I have the C-770 and I was wondering what type of external strobes people are using with the C-770 or any other Oly’s. The FL-20 by Olympus seems a little small. I have not seen any brackets to go with it.

Thanks
Mark

Forgive my ignorance, but I beleive the FL-20 is not a strobe just a flash.

I have been looking at getting a strobe for my C-750. I have been looking at the Inon D-180 or the D-220. Both are very good. Now I just need to get the money. Also you will need to get the sink cord.

I don't believe the C-750 or C-770 have a 'Slave' flash mode ie no pre-flash (correct me if I'm wrong). This means you will need a strobe that is 'pre-flash aware'. In this case the Inon D-180 is a better choice as the Inon Z-220 (I presume D-220 is just a typo) is not pre-flash aware. If you are using the PT-018 to house the C750 then there is no bulkhead to attach a sync cord to so you will need to 'optically' trigger the strobe. The Ikelite DS-50 or DS-125 with the manual EV controller and the Sea and Sea YS-90DX would be the other strobe options. The PT-022 for the C-770 has a bulkhead but it is an Olympus proprietary connector. There is a person in Germany who makes sync cord that'll connect to a Sea and Sea type connector (YS-90DX and Inon Z220). See this page (German only): http://www.mike-dive.de/kameras/olympus/5060/montage.htm and his website is: http://www.mike-dive.de
