My wife and I are fairly new to diving. I am AOW certified, and she is OW certified.

We want to fly to Miami, rent a car, and drive to the Keys. We are planning on three (3) days of diving--probably three (3) dives a day and a night dive at least one of the days.

Please offer suggestions for the following:

Where to stay?

With whom to dive?

Any hotel/diving package deals?

Thanks for the input!

Hi Indy!

Everyone will have their own preference based on their experiences. Here's mine

I like Lady Cyana Divers as my first choice and Atlantis as my second. Both Gloria (LC) and Spencer (A) run nice comfortable boats and a relaxing, easy going, safe atmosphere.

As far as where to stay, I prefer Islamorada. It's close enough to the middle of the keys for touring and you don't have to put up with the noise and hustle of Key Largo, Marathon, and Key West. More and better to choose from food wise too.

As far as packages, most all dive ops offer packages. You'll need to contact them and see what they are offering.

addition, I suggest you stay at Ocean Pointe in Tavernier, or at the Hampton Inn in Islamorada. Florida Keys Dive Center in Tavernier is a good op, as is Bud n' Mary's in Islamorada. Have fun, Moxie
