There may be no best option. Obviously using an SMC with the SMC multiplier will work well. and get you quite a good magnification. Other approaches are using a 1.4 teleconverter, or an extension tube, or a diopter on the lens inside the housing. For crazy mag, use a reverse ring on a cheap zoom lens, awesome.
