After an 'incident' last week in Exuma, I am faced with the task of putting together a new cam/housing setup

the old Ike stares at me, weeping...

I tried replacing the SD880 with an SD980 yesterday, but the buttons are so small and fiddley that I couldnt stand more than 10 min of test cat&dog shots.
The HD video on it is very attractive over SDef though...

So I am looking at the SX200 in another Ike....
I like the features & manual control for land, but need help with the U/W opinions...

We will be getting a DSLR setup in the next 6 mos, so this will just be the 'small' camera...

I like the SX200's 'idiot proof' (Easy) settings, the more manual controls, the HD video, and it is just borderline to keep in my pocket/purse.

I need some Devils Advocate here....And maybe Canon isnt the way to go either...
Any help is welcome...

Thank you!

Oh, and if anyone knows anyone who wants to buy an Ike housing for the SD880 its in excellent condition!!!

Cheers!
Poppy
