Tell me about diving Mona Island

Hoping to book the Nekton for a week of diving around Mona Island. Probably Dec or January.

How's the diving, conditions, etc? Is there much big stuff?

Those months the diving is going to be very rough out there. Beleive me I have dove it at different times of the year and December/January/Febuary are tuff months to go out there. I know that the Nekton Pilot is a cool ship, but once you are in the water there, it is a different ball game.

Big pelagics though, Mantas, Tiger Sharks, Marlin, schools of Eagle Rays, Dolphins, Portuguese Man-o-Wars, beware for them, Jellyfish are notoroius that time of year too. Ouch!!
