Updated information about the Trimix Upgrade (2)

The trimix firmware is still under development. We clearly underestimated time and effort (the database concept had to be redesigned, myUemis has to be adapted, uemis CONNECT needs to be changed for trimix and so forth). Unfortunately, we cannot adjust our resources enough to speed up the development. We apologize that we predicted the development time too optimistic and we do not want to repeat this fault again. Therefore, we will communicate a date only when we strongly believe that we can observe it. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

One fun thing to do (or not) is to look at the three Trimix updates that are posted on the uemis website.
In Nov of last year (seven months ago) we were told they've been working on Trimix for about a year and expected to update us in January about an ETA.
In Feb of this year we were told about some of the new settings screens, but no clear statement was made about availability.
Now in June we are told once again that things are taking longer than planned and are explicitly told that there is no ETA.

Fundamentally, uemis should stop talking about a trimix update, take down references to it from its marketing material and simply advertise the Zurich as the most expensive Nitrox computer on the face of the planet. The implication that this "soon" will be a trimix computer at this point is simply misleading advertising.

Well, I don't feel terribly bothered by the delay in the trimix firmware as I am not a trimix diver but it's quite interesting to see that both Galileo and UEMIS advertised that feature and seemed to have accumulated a substantial amount of unexpected problems.

Considering the computers allowing firmware update (Suunto are not that type), it seems like people have often been misleaded into buying an evolutive dive computer assuming "there will be" free stuff while they actually buy a waterproof platform where "there might be" free stuff in the future.

At this point with issues at UEMIS I just want the ability to get the dive log off of the computer w/o need of uemis.com service. It took them days to get web site fixed. Does anyone know how many people there are at UEMIS or is this now one man band?
