The original destination was the Pinta, but we had a lot of hunters aboard (as evidenced by all the spearguns at the gunnel) Last weekend for Sea Bass for awhile. We decided to try the Deleware Scuba Diving - New Jersey & Long Island New York - dive Wreck Valley - Dive Sites - Delaware Shipwreck as she usually has a load of Sea Bass and some tog in her engine and boilers. We were on site in no time at all (I think it was 4 minutes) Sea conditions were nice, maybe 2 foot wind chop but nothing too bad. Dropped in to find similar surface conditions from previous day (maybe 3-5 ft surface vis) Cleared up on the bottom, most said 15-20 ft with bottom temps again at 64*, no current on the bottom today, but a little at the surface not bad though. A real Kraken like tog was spotted in the engine, but was able to elude all attempts at his demise. A couple Sea Bass were had and at least one awnry lobster as well. As is usually the case on this wreck many spikes were had and a couple other interesting trinkets including a nice brass door handle that was very intricate in detail. The day found numerous equipment losses, but all was recovered by days end. All this fun and back at the dock by noon!
