trouble attaching hose to AIR2

hello,
I just purchased a knighthawk with air 2 from a seller on ebay. He sent me the original hose/inflator AND the specific one for the air 2. However, for some reason the hose will not attach to the Air 2. It is strange but the collar pushes forward rather than pulling back like on all other inflators I have ever used. This is my first time using an Air 2 and im hoping im doing something wrong rather than the idea that I have purchased faulty equipment (although i have never had a problem attaching a hose to an inflator before).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

sounds like the spring is broken in the connector

likely the above... FWIW - you might be able to just replace the fitting (LP sells them, as well as others) if it is the right model (some are crimp (older), and some (the newer models, IIRC) use a standard regulator hose). A fair cost savings.....

Now just imagine if it becomes disconnected during a dive when you need it...

I got rid of an AIR 2 and I am happy with my two S600 second stage regs.
