Learn how to equalize early and often. I had problems when I first started out. I finally went to see an ENT after the 'problem' didnt go away. I wound up having to have my adnoids removed! It delayed my diving for a while, luckily it timed with the winter (last year).
I also still get stuffed up during and after a dive. I usually take a 12hr sudafed a few hours before diving and havent had a problem. This is NOT recommended btw. I am constantly blowing my nose above and below the water.....
