Really not worth the cost of renting the cylinders for the gain in filter life. Just fill in the coolest part of the day or wait till a cooler day (if not urgent).
 
WOW ... Old thread!

So ... you now have a 3.5 CFM compressor and you want to add a two bottle cascade? No problem. However, it would be better for you to own the tanks than to rent them. When you rent, you pay for them even when you aren't using them. And purchasing older 3600 or 4500 bottles is fairly inexpensive.

However, why don't you just fill your scuba tanks at night and skip the cascade bottles? Pumping cascade bottles will increase the wear and tear on the compressor and shorten it's expected life. While I would love to sell you all the pieces and parts to put together a cascade, I still don't see a real reason for owing it.
