What's the worst conditions in Japan you have dove in?
Last year, right after a typhoon, we did a boat dive on Chinsen. It didn't look like any other boats went out of the harbor. After we dropped in, it was like being in a washing machine.
One time a few years ago I dove Osezaki. Only three of us dove and I didn't see any other brave divers. It was unusual because even Wan-nai was starting to get big waves. That dive, vis was from the end of my arm. Luckily the guy in front of me had white fins, otherwise I would have lost him. I only saw it on the upstroke when it was less than a meter from my mask.
