I have a Magnum H1 18W HID light with an MLS canister (with a gell cell battery) which Dive Rite doesn't sell anymore. I'm happy with the light but the canister is rather large and heavy. Does anyone know of any upgrade path to a smaller NiMH canister that may not cost as much as trading the whole thing in for their H21?

Thanks.

The dude at www.terkel.com makes a canister that, he claims, can hold a 9 amp-hour NIHM battery. I have the canister with a 4.5 amp-hour battery and it's pretty small. Might want to shoot him an email asking if there's a way to order just the can plus 9 Ah batt.
