Venice Beach Conditions - October 2006

Today was a no go. Walter, Soda and I all met at Allhambra. 20 kt winds had the surf kicked up pretty well. It could have been a good day to surf, not dive.

Did anyone go out today? From here in Port Charlotte, it looked pretty crappy. I plan on diving early in the morning. With the time change, I should be in the water around 6:45.

I dived it this afternoon with Stu, Frank, Keith, Tracy & Carissa. Viz varied from zero (black water in places) to about 1 ft. Near the bottom the best viz was about an inch. Stu actually found one tooth.

Would anyone be up for a morning dive in Venice during the week?

BTW, water temps are dropping. We had 71° F on Sunday.
