Victoria Vis conditions?

I've always thought that Saanich Inlet is about the only place around Southern Vancouver Island where the visibility is better in the winter. This year, even the Inlet was much better in the Summer.

Hopefully the wind dies down. When I was at the breakwater today, the waves were spraying right over it.

Thanks Mark, I'm planning to dive deep cove tomorrow morning with my son hopefully we get 30 ft there.

Well! we drove to Deep cove look at the water and decided to dive at Henderson Pt instead, not a bad dive under 10ft the viz around 30ft.

You're right Al, the Viz was nothing spectacular. I was at Daphne Islet. Vis for the first 17 feet was zero. Below 17 feet it opened up though to about 20'. I snapped some photos and I'm not 100% that I titled the Plumose Anenome and Northern Ronquil correctly. Have a look and tell me what you think.

10 mile was a hazy 20ish feet.. current was nil though, so all in all a decent dive.

The usual winter vis at the end of the breakwater this morning (about 10 feet).
