This vintage gas powered spear-gun was handmade in a machine or metalworking shop many years ago, a great conversation piece, an eye catching wall hanger and a one of a kind collectible.
Stock is one piece cast aluminum, looks like it was sand cast from a wood model and then milled to fit, the barrel and shaft are both hollow stainless steel tubing with precision slip fit. The hollow shaft end has a solid light-weight metal insert, possibly Titanium, designed for a slip-tip.
Also seems to be rigged for a line going directly to the breakaway tip and possibly another line going to the shaft. You don't want to lose or bend this shaft, awfully hard to make one!
The trigger and CO2 cartridge shaft expediter are also a very unique design, though not sure if it even works, or how practical or accurate it can be. But it sure will move out of there in a hurry and with a big blast of bubbles to boot if it does work!
Being sold for it's uniqueness and coolness factor, and not for actual spearfishing use. Buyer assumes all risk!
Price is $250 for this one of a kind collectible.
If attempting to make it work, dry fire it several times without the shaft in the barrel to get the understanding of it's workings and any flaws that need to be fixed first. Then do the same in a controlled environment underwater to see the range and limitations.
