Want to do some beach diving this weekend. It is nice and calm, but how is the vis.? Want to do either BHB or LBTS (maybe both!).

Thanks,

Guy

BHB today--viz 15-20 ft. and milky---the divers were overjoyed!! Water temp 80F. Going again tomorrow!!

I have a second hand report from a pal who tried Pompano off the beach today.
Muddy water.
3'-5' of viz.
No bugs walking.
They found one whopper in 17' on the first bump offshore in a 1 hour dive.
Boat dives only I think here in Broward.

Chug
Hates mud.

Thanks Chug and Jim, maybe BHB tomorrow.

Does anyone know if the vis has improved on the outer reefs/wrecks?

6 pals of mine went out on the Aquatherapy 6 pack boat from Pompano this morning.
I ought to be getting a viz report about any time now.
They were going to start in the 70'-90' range and look for the bugs.

Chug
Not divin' today.

Not divin' today.

I was on that boat. Vis on the reef dive was around 40'.

Gold Coast posted about 10' at LBTS today and that the meetup for Sunday morning is still on. BHB was good to go today will be at LBTS in the morning and report back. Was snorkleing last night after work at Boca Inlet, 10 feet maybe, no bugs and the little reef was covered over and/or moved from Sandy. Boat came flying though the swim area last night while there.

BHB today 11-3-12 down some from yesterday, ranging from 15 down to 5 as students and tide came in.

I am hearing the deeper you go, the better the viz.
25'-40' at times 45' or deeper.
The bugs are about normal in distribution.
Chug
Not diving for 2 weeks.
