W2 Simulated Dive

I just got EANx certified and did a simulation dive with my W2, chrome button. PO2=1.4, F02=32%. Regardless of my profile and without exceeding MOD I still get N2 buildup to DECO before barely getting into PO2 limits. So where is my thinking wrong? I thought the purpose was to avoid Nitrogen buildup by providing more O2. Hence I would probably run out of air first, hit an O2 limiter second and maybe N2 third.
