Hey gang!

My Ikelite housing/ds-50 package is on the wayfor my 8080!!!! can't wait to get it! ryan from reefphoto was great...

i hope it works out well and the learning curve won't be too difficult.

the wife and i are off to Coz in 10 days!!!

hope to post some great pics when we get back.

This may sound like a "party-pooper" reply. I am looking for a new system and was heavily leaning toward the 8080/ikelite housing/ikelite strobe system such as the one you are putting together. My questions for you are, Did you know that the 8080 was being discontinued when you got yours? and Knowing the 8080 is being discontinued would you still spend the money to get the 8080 and a Ikelite housing that may only fit a discontinued camera?

Just curious and needing help with my decision. Thanks!
