You have a couple of choices if you are buying a load of gear. It is a good chance to forge a close link with your local dive shop, it is also a good chance to save a load of cash by buying on-line.
I'd suggest having a look on-line to get an idea of price then going to your local shop to see what they can do.
I don't know what the shops are like wales, sorry.
Here are a few good on-line shops in the UK:
SDSwatersports, Sheffield
Go-dive, Derby
Kent Diving
SimplyScuba
If you can't find the sites post agian and I'll fish out the URLs
PS divernet has very good reviews for equipment
PPS general equipment questionsare pretty hard to answer as everybody has a preference but as a starting point... Apeks regs, Buddy BC and a dry suit are standard UK issue. I prefer a backplate and wing rather than a traditional BC (usually works out cheaper and more versatile).
