Hello All,

I'd be interested in getting some input on the type of nylon straps anyone is using for hooking up to cars at depth. We are considering this as an alternative to carrying chains down to considerable depths. Thanks.

Good Evening wendell, We use frame hooks on two inch wide nylon straps. they dont weight much and a diver can carry two at a time. rig a small lift bag on the hook and tow cable and pull the cable to the straps and your in business.
we recovered a small van today in 40 feet of water for training purposes and then we put it back down in the 40 foot hole.
grumpie....;

We've been using nylon straps for a long while and they work great. After your first operation you will wonder why you ever lugged steel chain and cable underwater.
