Dive N Surf is teaming with Delzanos by the Sea and Long Beachs Aquarium of the Pacific to present a seafood buffet dinner sourced from better-managed, eco-friendly fisheries. Hosted by Dive N Surfs SCUBA Dive Team, the dinner takes place on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Delzanos by the Sea banquet hall on the Redondo Beach Pier.
Admission to the meeting is $15, and includes a buffet featuring a variety of dishes made with sustainable seafood, a free admission ticket to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and presentations on the Aquariums Seafood for the Future program and Redondo Beachs SEA Lab. Proceeds from the admission charge are being donated to the SEA Lab. Check-in begins at 6:15 p.m. The Dive Team meeting and dinner begin at 7 p.m. A cash bar will be open for beverage purchases.
This event is open to the public. Everyone attending also receives a free raffle ticket for Dive N Surf goodies. A second, $2 raffle will be held for a SCUBA-related grand prize.
Delzanos by the Sea banquet hall is located at 179 North Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach, CA 90277, on the International Boardwalk at the north end of the Redondo Beach Pier. Park in the Redondo Beach Marina lot (enter on Harbor Drive across from Gold's Gym), as parking validation is available for this lot only. Delzanos can be reached at 310-374-7525.
