Aloha Ohana and fellow SB'ers,

Just a quick post to let you all know that the annual Pacific Whale Foundation Whale Day Celebration is just around the corner. As usual I will be participating in the "Parade of Whales" and will be hauling a bevy of beautiful mermaids behind my Scubabus. This is my 9th year now and it is always a ton of fun. If any of you on the sister islands are thinking of coming to Maui, this would be the time to do it.

Last year a few of you for Kauai mentioned trying to make it. Well, here's your official invitation!!! Let me know if you're coming over! I hope to make a lot of new friends that day. It's a guaranteed good time.

Have a look at a video someone posted from last year.

Thanks for taking the time to check out this thread!!! Aloha and shaka to you all!

Now that's a high quality 1,000th post!

I hope to have at least half as much enthusiasm for this years Whale Day Festivities as Shaka Doug.

Since this thread has pictures from the past, I'll add the whales;

Thanks Steve, had no idea it was the 1,00th post but thanks for pointing that out! Auright!!

Hey, this just in from PWF:

The Parade Route will be reversed this year. It will start in the vacant parking lot by ABC store across from Kamaole Beach Park 1 and head North along S. Kihei Rd and end at the Kihei Public Library. It will go from 9:00 am to 10:00 am then the rest of the event will be opened up and will go to about sunset. Come on down. It's gonna be a blast!!!!

I am coming from the mainland. Is that good enough?

Whale Day 2010 has come and gone already! It was a ton of fun! Beautiful mermaids really made an impression on the crowd. Thank you to everyone who was part of this celebration. Get ready, next year's not that far away!
