The one I remember the most? A night dive last summer at Black Rock in Kaanapali. I recall looking up to the surface with my light while at ~25 feet, and seeing the liquid glass that was the underside of the water's surface. I'd never done a night dive with that kind of visibility before, and it just blew me away, watching our bubbles move in these wiggly little columns toward a shimmering liquid ceiling. I still wish I'd had a decent camera capable of reproducing what I saw that night.
Nice report Hux, I just made a dive at Black Rock a couple of weeks ago. The surge was in so it wasn't that calm but there were several turtles, a couple of eels and two white tip sharks (in a lava tube). Diving at Molokini was better.
