As with most things scuba, the answer is "it depends".

With any dive you should ask yourself three questions ...

1. Why am I doing this dive?
2. Have I considered the risks and weighed them against the benefit?
3. Am I properly prepared?

Depending on the answers, any dive profile can be a good idea or a bad one.

If you're going to bounce dive you should also consider what you've been doing prior to the dive. If you're already nitrogen loaded from previous diving activity, then the pressure changes induced by rapid descent/ascent may cause bad things to happen inside your body ... even if the "bounce" is relatively shallow.

Bob you are a very intelligent person when it comes to the wya you think and speak. I can tell this by your posts that I see on here. Thanks and keep up the good work. :merryxmas:
