In Betty Pratt-Johnson's book in the descriptions of some of the wreck dives she talks about the Burma road. Any of you wreck divers or Navy types know what she's talking about?

It's the nickname for the main passage way, Deck 3, on former Mackenzie Class ships (HMCS Mackenzie (261), Saskatchewan (262), Yukon (263) and Qu'Appelle (264)) that served in the Canadian Navy until the late 1990s. The passage way connected all parts of the ship and was used to "store" the ship with supplies.

All the best, James

James, thanks for that bit of info! I've heard the phrase Burma Road before, too, without knowing what it meant.

I just saw a clip of Betty Pratt-Johnson on the Weather Channel talking about the effects of wind and tide on currents for local diving conditions. She was all rigged up and getting in for a dive.
Cool!
