An easy way to ID the princess parrotfish is to remember that the "Princess Wears a Skirt." In all phases, this species has distinct tail borders. Those pink borders in your photo of the terminal phase are its "skirt." Juvie and initial phase princess parrotfish have dark borders on their tails.
