What should I have done?

Man, I'm wondering if I should just take my dry suit to Hawaii with me in April . . .

I am definitely considering it if i go again, but I dont really enjoy hawaii diving that much honestly.

The cenotes are 75, and when I come back, I'll bring my dry suit. A 3 mil wet suit is NOT enough!

Seriously, I know at least 8 people diving MX caves wet. 5 through 7mm works fine for many of us. I didn't get chilled until after 2.5 hours

I've frozen my butt of in a 3 mil full. I've been cozy in my drysuit with 200 gm undies... but didn't enjoy the hikes thru the jungle in August! This time I'm hoping that I'll be OK with a 5/3 hooded vest under my 3mil. I reckon I should have a backup plan just in case that combo isn't enough... I've got ten long days ahead of me. The question is... drysuit or a 7 mil? Hmm... they both have some goods and bads.

75 too cold in a 3mm? Geez...:11: I start getting chilled in a 3mm in the low 70s but not 75 (or 79, for that matter). 79 is practically bathing suit temps!

How long are you in the water? Cave requires stillness - no shivering allowed.

Kirk, I only missed one day of diving (Tuesday) and did go to the Mainland for the dives in Dos Ojos. What a treat!
