OK, Diving Leo Carillio in So Cal, Night Dive, 30' 54 degrees.

Saw several somethings that looked like brittle star arms, but they were free swimming, looking like a cross between a snake and a millipede. The color seemed off white with blue. Sorry, I did not have a camera with me.

Any ideas?

Sounds like they might be epitokes. They come in a lot of shapes and sizes. A bit of discussion on them here:
