I recently dove, or rather tried to dive, out in Dabob bay with a guy who has one of the low-profile IST regulators as his second. We couldn't make the dive because it wouldn't stop free flowing. Luckily, I had an old us divers 2nd that I let him borrow. I looked up the regulator online and couldn't find anything about it. One IST regulator won the 'Scuba Lab Testers Choice'. Anyone have experience with these?

....that IST one, like so many other's, is a clone of the Sherwood version...it's a very common octo...I wouldn't over generalize the performance of one octo and conclude IST sucks....I'm sure it either was overdue for service, or had been or had become misadjusted.....that octo isn't a high-performance unit, but they're widely used in all their many clones/variations.
