What's the difference between all the different regs??
Besides price.
Looking for options for reg and octo.
Around a grand.
Cold Canadian lakes and warm Florida waters.

I would recommend the MK17 first stage with the A700, S600, or G260 second stage. I have dove Vancouver with a MK11, and MK25 first stage with success.

As for Octo, get the same stage as your primary. I say this because depending on your configuration; you might be donating your primary while you go on your secondary.

Most avid cold water divers prefer our MK17 first stage since it is a sealed balanced diaphragm although many won't give up their MK25 regardless of diving conditions. The A700 is specifically designed for cold water but the S600 and G260 (new!) compete very well in the cold water conditions.
Any/all of these combinations will work fine in warm waters ...

For me - Apeks, of course. Any XTX between 50 and 200, and a 40 makes a great octo.
