Does anyone run the pony gauge on a hose clipped to your side?

I have this:

Should I just add the hose or get this:

Get that and clip it somewhere where you can reach it and check it out yourself. Properly set up, it will not be dangling anywhere.

I clip a small console (SPG+depth gauge) to my left hip D ring and it's not going anywhere:

When I dived a regular jacket BC it also had a small D ring around the same spot, left hip, to clip it to, so yours should have something similar.

p.s. Ignore the sucide clip on the reg hose, that photo was taken before I knew better.

SPG = Standard Pressure Gauge (Analog)

While they may be "standard" equipment, the S in SPG stands for SUBMERSIBLE.

I would certainly suggest getting an SPG on a hose, vs a pony gauge you can't possibly see. IF you do get an SPG, I'd suggest a plain ol' "brass and glass" version...

The plastic housed ones can mask small leaks and trap fine debris, while generally not serving any useful purpose.
