Why are we so mean?

The world is not fair or level and there is no reason to treat everyone the same. Qualifying who to listen to is an important process. Some people perform at a higher level and/or are held accountable to a more exacting standard. I've found that gue instructors are those people.

Consider for a moment the constant deep air posts, they illustrate foolish actions devoid of current diving information and science...there is good reason to be "mean" in response.

You can take the Brit off the Isles, but you can never squeeze the Flying Circus out of them ;-)
 
Wow -- this thread no longer even REMOTELY pertains to the original post, or to DIR diving at all. Please notice in which forum this was put; it has a very specific and limited focus.
